SAINT JOSEPH COLLEGE

St Joseph College of Baggao was built through the inspiration of the late Monsignor Felix Domingo, the retired Vicar-General of the Archdiocese of Tuguegarao City in 1950. With the help of his grandnephew priests namely; Archbishop Emeritus Teodulfo Domingo and Monsignor Felicisimo Herrera the dream was pursued because there was no secondary school in Baggao.

St. Joseph High School at the beginning was a flat house made out of bamboo with 3 classrooms where the first batch of students were formed. The office was an old House of Lope Domingo. It served the school for almost 7 years. Then, it was transferred to the present site which is owned by the late Leon Domingo who offered the lot to St. Joseph College who through a compromise made by a relative gave the lot in exchange of a residential lot near the Ermita Church in Tuguegarao City. Because the school needed a wider lot for its expansion the late Senor and Senora Domingo Herrero were inspired by the Lord to donate out of love the rear portion to St. Joseph College equivalent to 2,056 sq. meters in the Municipal Plan.

TOURIST POT OF BAGGAO

DUBA CAVE
The cave is west of the Pintal River directly across from the barangay’s irrigation intake structure. You can either do the short swim across or go downstream and wade across the shallower portion of the river. Continuing another 30 meters west over the rubble along the river bank, you’ll reach the Front Lagoon * that is 20 meters wide by 50 meters long depending on the rains. The Front Lagoon is actually a sump with no visible connection with the river but we believe it does underground. You’ll have to swim about 36 meters to get to the entrance of the cave, which is at the eastern bank of the lagoon. This bank is actually large breakdowns across the entrance and you can see the turbulence generated as water flow under them.
